So much so that my father nicknamed me Lil Einstein and often quipped that I would grow up to become a physicist or scientist. As such, I grew up with the sense that I would be involved in science in some form or fashion and resultantly buried myself in sci-fi books and documentaries. I distinctly recall visiting the Engro Polymer Chemicals Limited site in Pakistan as a child with my father and being greatly impacted by the intricacies of the designs and processes, all of which left an indelible imprint on my heart.Over the years, this keen interest in the sciences only intensified. Since my O-Levels, I have been a Science student and took pure sciences along with Maths in A-Levels. I have likewise been passionate about design based on engineerin g principles as well as physical sciences. Currently a material and design engineering student, design has been an integral part of my undergraduate degree for the first two years thereby giving me the skill to critically design new things in accordance with proper engineering principles. In fact, two of my major undergraduate modules have been about polymer whilst my final third year project was on "graphene infusion in carbon fibre fabrics."In addition to this relevant academic background, I have considerable working experience. I have been an active social worker and have done several internships in NGOs such as the SOS Village, WWF, the Rising Sun Institute, most of which have been volunteer work. WWF volunteer internship. Of considerable note is my internship at WWF where I worked on a project dubbed "Save Mother Earth" which was aimed at preserving world heritage sites. I have also worked with a private company called Power Chemicals (Toronto Canada) and helped them with resea rch on different products by 'Dow Chemical'. Furthermore, my leadership experience is quite substantial. I was in the Student Council throughout high school and college and was named as Head Peer Teaching Society in college. All this work and leadership experience is proof that I am a diligent and responsible individual and will therefore put me in good stead to cope with the Masters programme of your institution. It will also help me to function in the work environment once I have completed my studies.My ultimate career goal is to work for a composite industry or some research and development company. I particularly enjoy working with polymers and researching about them and therefore have no doubt...
